Do you think they'll replace him on Countdown? Could Countdown exist without him? Or, to look at it another way, could we exist without Countdown?
It really doesn't bear thinking about. What if we came home one day and caught the tail end of Richard Stilgoe or Rick Wakeman presenting it?
However, looked at yet another way, would carol vorderman's career exist without countdown? perhaps it would be more respectful to bury it with him...
Carol will always have her adverts. And high quality adverts they are too. I've never liked her, but liked her even less when she was quoted as saying that Shakespeare is "dull as ditch water". Can you do any better, Carol? Can you? Can you?
Perhaps if we gave an infinite number of vordermans type writers and waited an infinite amount of time...
